HeatPac
The HEATPAC Personal Heater is designed as a self-contained heat source for warming people, medical supplies, or equipment in cold or sub-zero temperatures. It is the best device on the market today that operates independently of an external power source.
The HEATPAC can be used for:
- Keeping patients warm during transport.
- Protecting against hypothermia.
- Keeping medical supplies warm.
- Drying sleeping bags, boots, and clothing.
- Warming electronic equipment.
- Melting drinking water.
- Providing heat source for heating pad.
A fuel element is ignited in the combustion chamber and the unit is closed up. It takes about 20 minutes for the heater to reach full operating temperature. A battery-powered centrifugal fan warms the air by drawing it over the combustion chamber. The air is circulated through the heat distribution tubes, which are normally wrapped around the upper torso of a person being warmed. A manually adjustable airflow regulator controls the amount of heat output. Exhaust from the combustion chamber is discharged through the exhaust hose. The heater will operate from 8–12 hours on a single charcoal fuel element depending on the airflow setting.
